We are attaching a copy of our 1stgrade- 3rdgrade policies so that you and your child can review them together. If you have any questions about the policies and expectations, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher. 1- 3Grade Policies and Expectations

Students will be allowed to bring backpacks to school. With this, please regularly work with your child to ensure that nonessentials (toys, gum, candy, games, etc.) do not find their way into the backpacks.

Water Bottles
During instructional time students will be allowed to keep water bottles with them at their desks. (No juice, soda, flavor packets, etc.)

Students will be allowed to use the restroom as needed, but are encouraged to use the restroom at recess and lunch.

Birthday Parties
Students will be recognized in the classroom and throughout the day on their birthday. However, in order to maximize instructional time, birthday parties will not occur. This is a school-wide policy.

Homework Packets
Homework packets will be distributed on Friday to be returned the following Friday. Late homework packets will always be accepted for full credit. Any questions about homework can be clarified by contacting your student’s teacher via email. Homework packets will begin being sent home on Friday, August 11th, and will be expected back on Friday, August 18th.

Cell Phones
Cell phones will be permitted. However, they are expected to be turned off and put away during school hours.
